25 - 30 Million Switch Units Planned To Be Manufactured Next Year
Pump up the jam.
Nintendo Switch production will be taking a huge hop, skip, and a jump due to expected high demand. Nintendo plans to increase production of its well loved Switch system throughout its next fiscal year; by that I mean they're planning on manufacturing between 25 and 30 million of 'em by the end of March 2019.
Currently the company is producing 2 million units a month, however in order to reach their planned goal, production would increase to 2.5 million units instead.
At this moment in time, 7.63 million Nintendo Switch units have been shipped, and that's just over 7 months into its life. Nintendo said in its latest financial report it expected to ship around 10 million Switch consoles by the end of this current fiscal year which ends on 31st March 2018. The company has since revised this to forecast 14 million units for the fiscal year.
In comparison, the Wii U has sold 13.6 million units life to date, whereas the trusty Wii sold approximately 102 million units.
